had a great game, except the play in the 9th inning that probably cost the shutout. Who in their right mind would take Ibanez and his contract??? I personally think they need a closer, how about Qualls? LOL!!!! 8.9 ERA as a closer, really?

Absolutely no one would ever take on that Ibanez contract. The Phillies are stuck with him. He may end up being a really expensive bench player if Brown can play like this every night and Victorino comes off the DL.

I would move him and free up the cash to keep Werth. Then I think you have a pretty serious outfield. But, what may happen is Victorino could get moved instead of Worth. Seems to be a theory floating around. We'll know this weekend what will happen. But the Phils starting to hit again and being about 3.5 games back is fine. Gotta get hot in August and take it the rest of way..

this make a werth trade more of a possibility? I know he looks good, but that would be putting a lot of faith in a call-up as you make a stretch run at the playoffs. He's obviously a big part of their future though.
