I always wondered why a storm would transfer to the coast. It never dawned on me about the mountains. Duh! It makes perfect sense now. Thanks Doc.

A miller B is a storm which travels west of the Appalacians then redevelops off the coast... that primary low can come from anywhere, the GOM, Canada, anywhere, but it dies west of the mountains and transfers the energy to the coast. A Miller A originates in the GOM and travels to the east coast, maintaining its strength and structure as it reaches the coast, and continues north/northeast. No such thing a hybrid, not sure where that term started.

It's not a hybrid

This storm is not a hybrid. This storm is as classic a miller B as 1993 was a miller a. If you look at the definition of a miller a 5 years from now the picture of this storm might be next to it. It is a strong upper low coming in from the west merging with a storm from the south causes a storm to explode a the last second along the coast.

Can't really

Call this a miller b or a miller a it's a hybrid there's a storm coming from the south that will head off the coast n yet again use the upper air support from the north to combine forces to explode the storm.. It's somewhat of the same setup as Saturday.. Just taking place in different areas.. Don't think were gonna see bust 24 hours out.. Busts usually come from 3+ days out...
