An arctic air mass will continue to settle into the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan areas through the rest of the week with temperatures struggling in the 20's and 30's for highs.
Scattered clouds and an isolated snow flurry can be expected through Saturday. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph at times. Low temperatures will range from the mid to upper 10's over the interior and lower to mid 20's along the coast. High temperatures will range from the upper 20's to lower 30's over the interior and mid to upper 30's along the coast.
As high pressure shifts off the East coast on Saturday night, a moderation trend will begin for Sunday and continue on through Tuesday. While temperatures will rebound to near normal levels, precipitation will remain below normal as only scattered clouds are expected. Low temperatures will range from the mid 20's over the interior and upper 20's to lower 30's along the coast. High temperatures will range from the upper 30's to lower 40's over the interior and lower to mid 40's along the coast.
