Slow moving areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue through the afternoon into the evening hours. As we approach peak heating activity should continue to pop up and expand slightly. The set up shows very weak winds aloft and a mid level cold pool with -10C overspreading the area increasing MLCAPE values to 1000J/Kg. Ample CAPE aloft in the hail growth region may allow for small hail to form in the stronger thunderstorms.
