Long Heatwave for Delaware/Lehigh valleys SNJ DE Check your town
We have prolonged heatwave on our hands starting today and it will go right into the 4th of July. For somein the highly urbanized areas this may go 7+ days.
Places like Center City Philly, Downtown Trenton, Chester, Downtown Wilmington and maybe downtown Allentown and Reading this could be 90+ everyday for sure. Watch out for sct. storms today, we'll keep ya posted on that as well.

there have been so many All time Record highs set in the last week they are hard to keep track of...

Pattern is very similar to 1988.... Tremendous dome of high pressure centered in central us.. With expanding extreme drought there... Given this set up.. We don't need to be under the ridge to bake... The westerlies will continue pumping the heat to the coast with interruptions from cool fronts.. Philadelphia will be at 15 90 degree days by around July 10th.. Far above the normal pace...
June alone will have 7 which is well above normal... The predictions by some of a cool summer are in serious jeopardy
