Rain for us /Phila. and snow lots of it for New england .As a matter of fact some towns/cities may break there Feb snow fall total with this next system. Snow sucks anyway and if anyone loves it that much going skiing to mount snow in southern Vt.
The headline should read Snow storms keep rolling by the Philly area.
As a snow lover i am now waiting for the warmer weather and any talk of snow now at this point ,in the most frustrating of winters, is laughable.
Only the most diehard snow lover is holding out hope now that we will get the "big one".
There is no question that we were set up by the long range forecast that called for above average snow in the Philly area only to see ,early on ,that that wasn't going to happen.and in fact just the opposite happened.
Even February ,which was supposed to be our month, turned out to be almost snowless with only a couple of days below freezing.
Hey Rebel lets predict something that will happen around this area soon for a change. I think we need a discussion on first 70 degree day at PHL airport and and first 80 degree day.
I'm thinking first 70 degree day is between the 10th and 15th of March so I'm going with lucky 13. First 80 degree day will be March 26th as I think we torch for a bit late in the month.
Snow does suck. Its just fun tracking storms and seeing all the excited comments on here when a storm is coming. I still think the beginning of March has promise, but i wouldn't mind seeing 60 to 80 degree days, i'm a mailman and hate working in the cold, snow and wind.
I think Yucca Valley, California which has an average snow each year of 0, just received like two inches of snow from the system in the midwest. That is as much snow that Phiilly has received all year!
