**Updated USA Snow Cover Map**
This blog should have originally been posted in this group...
The area that sticks out to me is the one to our south, the bare area
in the Northern Mid atlantic would be our region, just observe that
circular hole within the white shadings that are all around us...

It's interesting to note that the Great Lakes are not frozen in this image. I think it's been a few years since they've been frozen. Seems to me lake effect snow would shut off around x-mas because the lakes would freeze. Not so much anymore. Thanks for posting the link and yes it's not good to be in this donut hole of snow!
