Ok here we stand at the middle of February with still below average snowfall. So, I am not going to say what I think the rest of the winter will be like because I want to hear from all of you on Live Weather Blogs!!! Does the storm this weekend still have a chance of being a big hit for Philadelphia? If not, when is the next chance at a significant snow storm?
Well this one Im not getting any hopes up but if next weekend is the "big one" then the towel will stay on the rack. If not, blowtorch and warm weather lovers paradise.
And this hasn't been a bad winter. Yes for the philly snow whole it has, but North of us has gotten drilled this winter. We cant expect to get above average snow every year, wont happen.
At least for Philly. NYC has a slightly below average snowfall for season just need 9.4 inches to close out the season. 18.8 so far in Central Park. DC to Philly screw zone
John I think if we get anything huge it will be during the transition period to spring...one of those nice storms that melts in two days because temps shoot up to 50+
Actually, I wasn't complaining on that other blog, I was the one telling complaining Charles that their was no need to make a blog like that, doesn't help anyone on here. Rob deletes his blogs all the time.
But once again, great comment and thanks for calling me annoying. #motivationtogetbetter
On this date in 1993 we were sitting at 6.7" , ended up with 24.3" that year . There are other years when we had lower totals on this date and ended up with over 30" Not saying this is going to happen but history gives us about an 18 % chance of hiting 20". Not scientific but my way of looking at it.. So I can't say winter is over for sure, no one can.
