Accumulations Provided: Light Snow Expected Friday

The region is set on schedule to experience some light snow beginning Friday and lasting into Friday night.  Yes, light snow not heavy.  This previous week the team spent it’s hardest analysis proved yet this winter to try best to pinpoint every problem and solution given the regions classification of either major or minor snowfall.  We find this event as stated to remain  minor or light and fall very scattered.  The team believes wholly that this event will be best forecast during its encounter on the region in a (Nowcast) rather than beforehand.  However guidance and projections are still best to be output leading up to the event.

Here you will be able to visual the simulated snowfall as it crosses the region during Friday followed by our forecast guidance for snowfall in the region also Friday.  This of course will be continuously updated into the storm and during.

Simulated Snowfall Projections

Recent averaged model guidance by the team has allowed to show you where snow will track before, during, and after Friday.  (5) Separate images show the time frames of Friday morning, afternoon, and evening.

During the Friday morning frames we find snow most concentrated out of the Tennessee Valley and the Lakes regions.  This all tracking East by the afternoon.  The split Northern and Southern energy is evident as shown.  One extending piece out of the South, another out of the North.
