Just got off the phone with NOAA The meterologist on duty says that this storm may not be all snow for lower bucks county the storm will be a mix with snow totals of 2-4 inches
Snow ratios are normally 10:1 meaning 10 inches of snow for 1 inch of LIQUID/QPF.
Now this ratio can change the colder/warmer the air is. For this time it will be around 10:1 in the Philly area so yes, you would multiply .25 times 10 to get the ratio. Meaning 2.5" of snow.
If the snow ratio was higher you would multiply that number by the qpf/liquid to get that amount.
lol Marcus I have a question for you i'm not sure if I am doing this right lets say the MSL say 0.25 would you multiply it by 10 to convert it to inches of snow
