We have seen the models come in this afternoon and most paint a 1-3 or perhaps 2-4 inch event for the area.
Here is my synopsis below and snowfall map with it.
I will update my maps later tonight towards mid-night to reflect any changes but this is my best first hypothesis as to what we can expect.
What we have are two systems.
The northern branch system looks to kick the southern stream off the coast unfortunately for snow lovers.
The two systems remain separate causing a lighter event as opposed to an event that would cause more than 4" for many areas.
Light Blue areas are most likely going to pick up 1-3"
Dark Blue areas are most likely going to pick up 2-4" or possibly more depending on how the two systems merge off the coast.
The Orange areas may actually get ripped off and only pick up an inch or less due to the northern stream energy transferring off the coast to the southern stream energy.
Most areas look like snow but there is the chance that south and east of I-295 in New Jersey begin and mix then change to snow.
I look to update the snowfall map most likely later tonight and give a final snow forecast at that point.
I have a link to the map further down it's on Mount Holly's Facebook page.
WFMZ says the same as the NWS: we should expect another storm that dumps 1" to 3" of snow on the area with locally higher amounts possible in the higher elevations north and west of the Lehigh Valley. Some minor adjustments may have to be made to these numbers depending on the track.
From NWS HWO: AT THIS TIME WE THINK THE AXIS OF HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL LIE FROM NEAR READING PENNSYLVANIA TO JUST NORTH OF TRENTON NEW JERSEY.
