May this message find you safe and secure with family and friends especially after this post storm time to enjoy time together to share a meal.
The only forecast that is for sure today is the following below:
Mostly Sunny
mashed potatoes should arrive from the west wearing sun glasses and be cloved in a warm jacket of butter towards evening.
The temperatures will be hoovering near normal for today but should spike well above normal especially in the oven areas where temps should eclipse well over 300 degrees by 6PM.
The evening will be stuffed with plenty of chances of turkey, gravy, and string beans.
If that is not enough the National Weather Service today has also placed our area under a Lasagna Watch so be careful out there.
Least but not last whatever this Turkey of a forecast sends your way be sure to spend valuable time with your loved ones and prepare food for the next few days.
Hope the models turn around to show the pattern. Because right now it's all progressive with average temps.. Nothing really "wintry" yet... I hope it's not another year of chasing the negative NAO like last year.. It was always give it 2 weea :(.
Yea that NAO is forecast to go from -2 or so up to +1 wild from Dec. 1st to 6th period a wild swing like that is very favorable for an east coast snowstorm.
The AO is ranging -2 to even a few members in -5 which reminds me a lot of the 2009-2010 winter..
It will be interesting to see how the models fluctuate between now and the Weekend.
My guess there will be some very interesting weather coming in the next 2-4 weeks... so get ready for WildWeather!
I like the animated turkey you have. Happy Thanksgiving bud.. Did you see the NAO and AO starting to go negative. There will be a lag, but the models in the coming days will show a more favorable pattern for wintry weather. Lots of potential this upcoming winter. You know, over Alaska we had that powerful polar vortex sitting over there. Now we have the block there. What a difference a year makes..
