After a huge winter of 14 snow and ice events (At least 1") last winter the NYC North Jersey Long Island region will get a break as far as the number of storms this winter. We here at liveweatherblogs.com still believe we'll see higher than average snowfall but overall the number of events will be much less this winter.
Our snowstorm count is secretly formulated using many factors such as El Nino, The Southern Sub Tropical Jet, North American Oscillation and a few other wildcard factors.
The Snow Day Formula has been carefully crafted to take into account what day a snowstorm might fall and at what time it will start. Other factors are what time of the year the snow is falling and how many snow days have been used so far into the winter. After talking with many key SNOW DAY decision makers my formula has been carefully brewed and the magical number of days frozen to prefection. Enjoy your SNOW DAYS KIDS, PARENTS AND TEACHERS.
