Winter is still hanging on for parts of the Mid Atlantic and Northeast as a powerful storm system from the Midwest brings in a variety of precip tonight from Philly to New York City.
Most will be after sunset and with temps in and around freezing N & W of the Philadelphia area some slippery spots will occur mainly on secondary and neighborhood roads. The precip is over to rain after midnight for many as warm air comes in the from the south and west.
This is the Nat'l weather service outlook for ice on the left and snow on the right. I agree that it will not be much maybe a coating to trace in many places in the winter weather advisory.
A wintery mix could also occur in the far N & W burbs of Baltimore and Washington DC as well as North Jersey outside NYC tonight.
