As I sit here in the NBC weather center here in Southern AZ I can't help but notice how active the Desert Southwest is gonna get over the next few weeks. This parade of storms will move east some as lake cutter others as possible nor'easters.
No need to panic and certainly no need to call winter off at this point. I see many chances for storms after the 11th of this month or about a week away.
So lets look ahead because the long range models are showing a return to a parade of storms.
The Pacific is gonna get active the next few weeks as storms dip down into California and Arizona and head east. Some make take a left up to Chicago others will head east to the coast.
Ok so we now have the 14 day signals back on track and now the models are finally showing up with some storms.
Lol. I know rob I just found that funny with all the frustration of that little area missing the snow all year and the nam to show us that. It's gotta be punishment!
Click hour 60. See we can't even get flurries/snow showers in the 95/295 area of Philly/SNJ. Mother Nature is pissed at this area about something! Look at that gap! I call that snow drought belt.
Sorry just being humorous that it shows this missing the snow drought areas haha .. And my house!!
00z nam has another Christmas Eve type system with a chance at snow showers Sunday morning. You know what's funny though. The only gap in the precip is DIRECTLY over my house. I swear I'm being punished for something I can't even get snow showers haha.
Yea this is what I was looking at being hinted at on the GFS... one thing is for sure Rob get the storms in the Desert Southwest will mean storms loaded with moisture and lots of dynamics come in about next weekend.
