Stormy Weather Jan 10-17

Ok so the cold air is here and we're in kinda of a lull from the snowy times but things will start to change in about a week or so.  I am expecting stormy times from the Southwest through the Midwest onto the east coast. How much is severe weather vs. snow and wind is tough to call right now but get ready to head back into winter for some.

So we now have a period to watch for storms.

Marcus just imagine if we have cold air for that picture, .5-.75 or even higher qpf. That would be a good snowstorm.

Is it a leap year? We could use an extra day

It would take ALOT to get that snow line below philly, and with the pattern most likely it will stay north and be rain for us. Looks like February is our only hope to get some big storms.

Wow if only we have cold air during the 10th because we would be in store for a big storm based on that picture/

We got a shot at a 1-3" event around the 7-8th.. So well see. CMC and 18z nam show it..lets see if the 00z come around.. If not it'll be a few weeks for the next snow chance.

78yanks was talking about how we are in a familiar pattern as when we had the warm January, very dry, then February 2010 rolled around and you know what happened then lol. Let's hope something like that can occur.

Yeah rob. I don't think I've ever seen winter storm warnings where they are in Texas right now in the 10+ years I've been following the weather. We're in a wacky pattern right now that's for sure.

It's ok Tim. Understandable but we can't be at each others throats over snow especially in this awful pattern were in well be arguing all year. I'm just as aggravated as you man so it doesn't help. I am sorry as well. Lets just keep the comments on topic as we can, one of these days we will get snow..hopefully this season.

Marcus we are getting more snow out here than the east. Tim...the odds are not in favor of snow but it's kinda hard to say rain vs. snow 10-15 days away on the models. Let it play out.

Yeah Tim it won't snow here for at least 2-3 weeks most likely unless we can pull something off within the next week..after that its gonna be too warm. So we may need to wait until end of the month or February.

Everyone check out my link below if to live i95 south and east. Pretty cool Texas and Mexico is gettin more snow then we have in 2 years.
