The radar shows a narrow band of thunderstorms, some severe with winds over 65mph S & W of DC metro.
This tornado watch may slide into Delaware and NJ over the next few hours. Temps have been in the 60's all day and the low level jet is screaming east at this hour.
The parameters are close for this watch to extend a little further north, It will depend on how the severe line of storms holds together now through 10pm.
Scary, roaring gusts over here, I fear my trees will uproot, much like when I lost a large pine during Sandy which cost a lot of cash to remove, as well as the damage the tree itself caused.
29.43 falling the worst is yet to come for the Delaware Valley...
Line of storms pushing NNE... these can be heavy like Dean said do not expect any lightning.
However with the heavy rain this will drag the high winds aloft to the surface in some case causing winds to gust up to 65mph in a few locations... Where this does occur power outages are possible.
This front seems like it's just falling apart as it approaches jersey lol. Clearing skies in swedesboro? Man it's near impossible to get weather around here haha. This is painful as a weather nut.
yes at the same time the shear values are very high .. if a tornado formed it would be a fast spinup with very little warning time and dont expect thunder and lightning . i just updated the now cast to include this rob .. yeah very fun time esp for a severe weather fan like myself
