Midwest Blizzard Rolls on to Chicago Minneapolis Green Bay
So you wanted a real winter and in the Midwest you have it today. Heavy snow and wind pound 6 states some will see over 15" of snow.

Yeah you are in the doughnut of snow. The track has shifted a bit to the east coast the next 10 days but I see a few small events possible.

last week we got missed by about 100 miles to the northwest and tomorrow we are getting missed by about 100 miles to the southeast, do you see anything aimed at Chicago in the near future?
We are still in the snow drought, officially less than .5 so far this season and need all the snow we can get.
As an unexpected gift, today for Christmas we received about an 1-1/2" off the lake, in a few hours, the heaviest was pretty much over our neighborhood.
My wife told me she asked Santa for snow for Christmas and that was my gift., i told her next time ask for a blizzard.

Hey im from the west suburbs of Chicago. Its interesting to note that the Winter Storm Warning headline is currently issued for the combination of strong, damaging wind and short duration heavy snow. NOT overall accums, which should in the 2-6in range, below normal warning criteria.
