We have about as quiet a weather pattern that you can have this time of year. Weather systems across the United States remain weak. Cold air is for the most part locked up in Canada for the time being except for brief shots here and there and even these shots are going to be especially cold. We don't see anything of consequence as far as rain is concerned except perhaps late next week with a cold front that approaches the coast next Friday. 2 weak fronts before that, one tomorrow night and one next Wednesday look pretty weak and will only impact temperatures. The blocking pattern is set up in a way that favors minimal activity in the Eastern US. If you want cold and snow you need to go to Europe!
The block to the east as shown above is going to create rather cold conditions across Europe with snows in England and Northern Ireland as well as much of Western Europe.
