I'm not going to make any changes to my forecast for the weekend. Models seem to be doing the same thing they did last week which was to pull back on the rain somewhat a few days before only to go back to a more robust solution. Rainfall amounts should be in the 1 to 3 inch range and there will be some local flooding with this system as it moves through Saturday and Saturday night.
Once this system goes by, the blocking pattern completly breaks down for next week. This means we can say good bye to an ocean flow, stalled weather system and lots of clouds and hello to more sunshine and warmer temperatures.
